Charge a fee for no-shows and late cancellations
Ask clients to save a card when they book online, and charge a fee if they don't turn up or cancel late.
No-show protection needs online payments connected first: see Take payments online. Only the owner can set it up.
Turn it on
- Go to Settings → Online payments.
- Under No-show protection, tick Ask for a card when clients book online.
- Choose the Fee: a % of the price or a fixed amount, and the Amount.
- Set Late cancellation: a cancellation less than this many hours before counts as late.
- Press Save. Then write your policy under Settings → Booking rules, so clients read it before they agree.
Clients booking online then save a card on Stripe's secure page. Nothing is charged, and Eyroxis never sees the card number.
Charge the fee
- After a no-show (or a cancellation inside your late cancellation hours), open the appointment.
- The fee is filled in. Change it if you like (it can't be more than the booking's price).
- Press Charge the card.
Charging is never automatic: you decide each time. It needs Refunds access. There are two different hour settings: Late cancellation here decides when a fee can apply, and Up to in Booking rules decides when clients can still change or cancel online.
