Getting more Google reviews for your salon

Why reviews matter for being found on Google Maps, and simple, honest ways to ask happy clients for one.

When someone searches "barber near me" or "hair salon" plus your suburb, Google shows a map with a handful of businesses. Reviews are one of the things that help you appear there, and they're often what makes someone choose you.

Ask at the right moment

The best time is just after a visit they loved: in person at the counter, or in an email the same day. A week later, the moment has passed.

Make it one tap

Find your review link in your Google Business Profile (look for "Ask for reviews" or "Share review form") and put it where clients are: in an email after the visit, on a card at the counter, or as a QR code.

Keep it honest

  • Ask every client, not just the ones you think will be kind
  • Never offer discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews; Google's rules don't allow it
  • Never write reviews yourself or ask staff and family to
  • Reply to reviews, good and bad, briefly and politely

Handle a bad review well

Thank them, say sorry for their experience without arguing, and invite them to contact you directly. Future clients read your reply as much as the review.

In Eyroxis, with the Forms and reviews and Marketing apps on, clients get a short star-rating email after their visit, and you can add your Google review link so happy clients are invited to post on Google too.

Try it with your own salon for 30 days.
